TESTIMONIALS FROM WEICHERT SALES MANAGERS

 REVIEW OF THEIR PRESENTATIONS VIDEOS

I thought about this over the weekend. It was the most beneficial part of the entire two sessions so far. Note that I am a visual person and thinking that I did a pretty good job, I found the critique to be extremely helpful in bettering my presentation. Asking me questions, like what could you have said differently, showing opportunities to ask open-ended questions and assessing body language were some of the things I believe could benefit all of us. I’m sure everyone thought they did the best job, so showing others highlights from our peers will be the most beneficial training tool. Nice job!

####

The top two things that I got were:
1) I was able to notice that I need a more open-ended approach to my questions. Even though I use some open-ended questions, I use far too many closed ended questions.
2) I noticed that I am far more relaxed and credible when I tell a story from my personal experience. I do this a lot when I interview, but I never was able to see the difference until we watched the video.

Thank you for sitting with me and coaching me through some techniques that will build my skills for the recruiting portfolio. From our session I wrote down key action items to work on personally that will make me more successful in my presentations moving forward. Included in my actionable items are the following:
1. Ask more questions engage the recruit on each topic.
2. Ask open-ended questions – don’t assume I know their thoughts/feelings.
3. Stop waving my hands about when speaking.
4. Tell personal success stories from the office.

Thanks again for everything!

The session today was very helpful to me. Some comments are:
– Always a great learning experience seeing yourself on video as that in itself is very productive;
– Some of the questions that I ask should allow for greater embellishment such as “What are your thoughts”. Use open-ended questions;
– Check with the person as to time they have so they are not “messing up” their schedule;
– Suggestions on meeting location helped; especially, as that impacts on logistics;
– Do not “put down” the competition (their Broker);
– Close more often as I move along with the presentation;
– Spend more time on topics of greatest importance to them;
– I should talk less and the person should talk more;
– Review of material that was given to them;

I appreciate the guidance that you gave me which will be helpful in my presentation.

As painful as it was to see myself on video, it was a good learning experience. The real benefit is not in practicing content, but in actually seeing the difference between asking open-ended questions and closed-ended questions and seeing how easy it is to change to open-ended questions by changing just a few words. You just have to be conscious of the technique. Thanks for your time as well.

####

I thought it was extremely helpful! I had not yet watched my video so I thought it was a good opportunity to see what I did well so I can strengthen that, as well as seeing the areas I need to work on. Also getting someone else’s perspective is good because I noticed things (good and bad) that I might not have. There is always room for improvement and now I have a more tangible idea of where to focus the work. Thanks again for your help!

####

Good Morning! It was a pleasure to spend time with you going through my video. It is always a good thing to hear the thoughts of others, especially when I am my biggest critic. We are in agreement that I need to ask more open ended questions and…..take a breath. Best of luck in your new endeavor!

####

From our session today, I can see that I need to work on open-ended questions. Ask the “how” questions and say “tell me” etc. I also saw that I need to acknowledge the recruit’s answers to my questions before getting back on track in the discussion. I will also review the Transition Plan to use with experienced agents and I will review the questions in “Building the Relationship” to get some more questions.
Thanks again for your help and assistance.

Thank you for a very valuable coaching session on Friday. When watching my video it was clear that when I asked more open-ended questions, the dialogue became more of a conversation. Your tips and comments were extremely helpful to me and I will use them in my presentation. I appreciate you taking the time to go over the entire presentation and pointing out not only the good things, but also how to make it better.

####

I just finished reviewing your feedback from my video. The experience was an eye opener which benefited me for my future appointments. From this I want to aim to engage in a two way conversation more often and ask more open-ended questions.
Thank you for your suggestions it has been a positive experience and has polished my presentation.

####

Thank you for taking the time to review my video with me. It’s always good actually see how we appear to others. Moving forward I will be more conscious about asking more questions. Like you said picture a ping pong match, back and forth. I will use the ‘What’, ‘How’ and ‘Tell me’ tools more often. I did notice I use the same question throughout my presentation and will work at changing that. I will also work at having some stories to show how I make a difference helping my associates grow their business. When meeting with experienced agents I will take your advice and have something personalized for them.

The recap was very valuable. I was instantly able to see corrections and improvements I could make in my interaction. The original assignment was a bit unclear so unfortunately I did not understand the role the recruit was supposed to “play”. But even with not being clear there was lots of value in the exercise. The critique with Claudia was done in a positive helpful light.

Thanks for reviewing my video. After reviewing my presentation, I feel using more open-ended questions would create more dialogue from the recruit. It would give me more insight into their hot spots so I can make sure I am addressing their concerns.

####

I really enjoyed our time together. Your comments and feedback were spot on.
I had an appointment today with a new recruit and implemented some of the strategies you suggested. I knew in advance that she had some specific questions about the commission schedule and fees which gave me the impression that she was interviewing more than one broker.
I specifically took the time to ask open ended questions and I used a success great story. The success story was about a 2012 hire that is having a great career with us at Weichert. I think that was the most impactful part of our meeting. When I reviewed the compensation she did not have any issues with it at all. She is my 13th hire this year!
Thanks again for your help!

I wanted to follow up with you and provide some feedback from what I got out of the review of my recruiting video today. I was impressed by your thorough review with me of each slide. All the points you gave me were well taken. While I have provided some stories in the past and have tried to relate to my recruiting prospects, the information you sent and went over previously with the managers was very helpful. I did incorporate these into my presentation which I thought improved it from where it was before. While I thought I had asked many open ended questions, I found that there were places that I could have positioned a few more and will try to put a little more of that into my presentation. I think you were able to raise my awareness in a few areas and will help my recruiting presentation in order to bring more Brand X agents to my office. Thanks again for your help.

####

As we discussed I was skeptical about how this approach could help me refine recruiting techniques. Although taping was not my favorite thing to do it did charge me up to get appointments and tell my story. Getting seasoned agents to meet with you is extremely difficult. You need to hit them just at the right time and that time could take lots of time. That is my future goal to get more appointments.

####

Thank you for looking at my video with me this morning. I was able to take away some really good values with your help. For one, when I present our six differences, I will remember to ask the recruit what is most important to him/her in deciding to make a move. I will also remember to ask more questions which will require more than a yes/no answer (How, What, Why questions). I will give more examples of how my associates have grown their business through their association with me and Weichert, and finally, I will remember to ask the recruit to join me and my team at the end of the presentation!!!
Thanks for all your great suggestions…..they will really help me grow my team through the power point presentations!!!

####

Thank you so much!
I found the experience very helpful. Just as one would see a doctor for a second opinion, it’s ways beneficial to have an outside perspective of what works well and what areas need improvement. It was also helpful to see my own body language, posture, facial expressions and listen to the content I covered. I realized there are great points that I may place more emphasis on moving forward.

Claudia was very helpful in reviewing my video. There were certain things (i.e. asking more open ended questions to encourage dialogue, tell more stories to increase the Associates “buy in” to what you are saying, “dig deeper” to uncover what the person is thinking or feeling, etc) that were very valuable takeaways for me. The experience was very “eye opening” & gave me tangible things to improve on so I can become a better recruiter”. Thanks!!

####

The sessions that I have been on with Claudia have been fantastic. I believe the key to this exercise has been the repetition of videoing and feedback from Claudia. It has made me more aware of being interactive with the recruit, asking about their concerns, and trial closes throughout the presentations. I feel more comfortable and confident with what I have been through.

####

Thank you for your feedback and analysis. I enjoyed working with you and appreciate your help. Your thoughtful coaching will ensure that my presentation will continue to improve. Thanks.

####

Thank you so much for your time and feedback. I found this assignment to be highly beneficial. I have already “changed” some of my tactics and look forward to the opportunity to add more benefits and the feedback you have given me. I am so very thankful to have such an amazing team on my side to help me succeed along with my agents.
Again I thank you for all your time and help in guiding me to success!

####

Thank you so much for working with me. It was very helpful seeing how I delivered the information. I totally agree the flow needs to be tweaked. It just makes better sense. I will use the notes going forward. Making people feel special is key and keeping it personalized to their needs is important. That will be my goal going forward.
Thanks again. I was a pleasure speaking with you.

####

You made my day!
I hired someone (experienced out of Weichert referral) right after our appointment! Woo-hoo!

####

Thanks so much for your feedback!
I truly valued your input and especially appreciated your suggestions on asking more open ended questions towards the end of the presentation. I will make sure to ask what specific concerns the agent has so that I can address them at that moment and get them to agree to join us. Your coaching and feedback along with Mary’s coaching has been most helpful to me!!! Thank you both for your support☺!!!

####

I just wanted to take a sec to tell you about my coaching session with Claudia. She was amazing and very insightful– I got a lot out of our conversation that will help me in many different parts of my job here. I truly appreciated her guidance and training.

####

Claudia, thank you for the positive feedback and valuable insight you offered as to how I can improve my recruiting presentation. I look forward to incorporating your suggestions and owning them. I am certain doing so will greatly increase the probability I will be successful. I look forward to working with you again.

####

Thank you very much, for your coaching session and for your endless patience and follow through.
You are a complete Gem!

I wanted to take a moment to be specific about what I loved, about the way that you coached me.
To begin, you are what my old acting teacher used to call “an active listener”. You do not merely listen, per your job description. You listen, with every fiber, of your being. You then, ever so creatively, observe, digest, respond and coach with your intelligent insight and corrective criticism.

You never, once, made me feel that the job I did was inferior. You have always pointed out my strengths and asked me if I wanted to hear your opinion. I very much appreciate this. Each point that you made, about how I can better my presentation, was one thousand per cent correct! And you used easy comprehensive steps to explain how I am to achieve this.

All in all, I feel so much better about the learning process, with you, as my coach. And, “BY GEORGE, I THINK I GOT IT!” 🙂

####

Thank you very much for your feedback. Your coaching session was very valuable. It has helped me slow down when talking to recruits and ask more open ended questions to show the agent how I can help them better their business. Also, although I am excited to tell them all about what’s going on here, to let them finish their questions and concerns before jumping in.
Thanks for all your help!!

####

Thank you again Claudia. I found your coaching session to be motivating and the entire program in general has aided me. I have been able to stay on course during the busy spring season when it is easy to go off track with experienced recruiting because it is so labor intensive. Yesterday we had our coaching session to review my video and I feel that your suggestions were succinct and also very easy to implement for all of my interviews both experienced and new hires. I had the opportunity today to experiment during a new hire interview with one of your suggestions which was to frame what I wanted to accomplish during the meeting along with the six differences up front then drill down later in the conversation each difference. I think that my presentation was more elegant this way and the candidate heard the differences 2x which helps to reinforce the strength of our value proposition. As you know I ALWAYS use the Weichert Presentation as is, (I think that it looks very professional, polished and well branded and I wouldn’t want it to look homemade.) which keeps me on point.
Thank you for including me in this program and I look forward to doubling my experienced hires for the second half of 2015!

####

Thank you so much for your time and mostly your feedback on my recruiting video. I think it really helped to see the video and review it with you so you could point out some different techniques I could use. It gave me a lot to think about that will surely help me to perfect my presentation.
Thanks,

####

It was an absolute pleasure to have worked on this video with you. I am taking all of your suggestions and will be applying them to my “real” presentations when I have them. I think that it is really a very good exercise to see yourself as others see you, and then to have someone in the know give good constructive feedback. Again thank you for everything.

####

Thank you Claudia! I was very happy with the comments you made on my video – there is nothing like a second pair of eyes and ears to help get better at a presentation. I will definitely add into my presentation in the future more customization and speak more in the present about the recruit actually being a part of the office. Also I will work on using different dialogue toward the beginning of the interview choosing 3 main objectives for the meeting. Again thank you for all of your coaching – I have thoroughly enjoyed the recruiting certification process and have learned a lot from both you and many of my fellow managers!

####

Thank you!! I truly appreciate you taking the time to help me! My biggest gain from the coaching session was the specific suggestions you gave me on each of my low points (using a shorter video, asking more open ended questions, and using less personal stories).Thanks again!!! Have a great day!

####

I value your input to my presentation. You helped me point out several items that needed tweaking. I feel my presentation will be so much stronger now with a few more value stories and a few more open ended questions. Our Joint Managers Meeting next Wednesday is in Annapolis, Maryland, but with your great input today I’ll be ready. Thanks.

####

Your comments on my presentation were so detailed and helpful for me to improve my delivery. I do have to remember to ask the experienced associate which of the 6 distinct advantages would be most important. Closing with “team” was a great suggestion. All in all, seeing my video was an eye opener. As Jim would say “ practice on real people”. I intend to do just that.
Thank you for your help.

####

Thanks for all the time you spent reviewing my video, speaking with me about the experienced video presentation and providing such valuable feedback. I really liked your suggestion to get more personal stories from current associates for use in my presentation, and to ask some of them if they would meet with new recruits. I have, in the past, used some of the recent recruits and it is very effective! I will immediately be trying to add more structure to the presentation and to put your other suggestions to good use. Your input is very important!!

####

It was a pleasure collaborating with you! The most important aspect in recruiting is understanding this is a sale. I think you’ve got that. Would like to see the managers utilizing Weichert Pro for their recruiting database, and I think we are on the same page. You and I both know Capture and Pro are two different systems. I look forward to our relationship growing! Have a great day!

####

Like any other skill, these past few weeks have reminded me of the dialogues and techniques necessary. Our session today really helped with the open and probing techniques. The video made me realize how much body movement I do and will calm that down. I am looking forward to our Wednesday sessions, to keep me on point, as I really want experienced to be the sole focus for the balance of the year.

Thanks Claudia for your thoughts and suggestions. I like your suggestion on having the agent pick the categories for which they have the most interest in the presentation. Also, I’ll work on more open ended vs. leading questions…Thanks again for your input!
